Autographed Letter Signed by Giacomo Meyerbeer 1858
Autographed Letter Signed by Giacomo Meyerbeer, 1858. Of German origin, his works are considered foundational to the "Grand Opéra français". Attached is a portrait of Giacomo Meyerbeer, by Delpech who died in 1825. The portrait, certainly dating from before 1825, is signed by Giacomo Meyerbeer. Nice, March 4th, to Madame Célérier, he has received the copy of Le Figaro that she sent him, but he thinks she made a mistake with the issue number, as it is not mentioned.
He learned from Scudo that she was kind enough to fulfill the errand he had entrusted her with. "My poor wife had to go to bed on the third day of her arrival in Berlin, and she couldn't get out of bed for five weeks.
Now she is starting to feel better." His daughter Blanche and "her little baby" are doing well. ALS 1 page, in-4 format (25×19). Portrait in in-4 format (27×18).
