In it, the writer refers to his professional dealings with the publishers Quantin and Lévy, reflecting the lively atmosphere of the Paris publishing world in the 1880s.

Quantin cannot yet answer me regarding what you ask of me; all this depends on an agreement with Lévy to generalize his plan, and nothing moves quickly with the Judaized Foxes.
