In this letter, Alexandre Dumas fils discusses the theatrical adaptation of his father's novel "Balsamo" and expresses his support for the recipient's application for the position of evening editor of a newspaper.

] I did not respond earlier because I was caught up in the chaos of Balsamo. I am entirely at your service. Pessard, Hector Pessard [is seeking] a chief evening editor, and I have a good relationship with him. I believe he will do everything possible to be accommodating.

You could even show him this letter [... "Joseph Balsamo", a novel by Alexandre Dumas père, inspired by the life and personality of Count Cagliostro. It is the first part of a series titled "Memoirs of a Doctor".
