Rare signed autograph card written in Paris on May 10, 1964, and addressed to his friend Bogdan Manojlovic, founder of the Samuel Beckett Association. "The premiere of Comédie is postponed to May 28.

The theater is not yet set up and the rehearsals are not advanced enough for me to invite you to come see us. I will let you know later." Beckett here refers to Comédie, an adaptation of Play, a one-act play whose premiere will ultimately take place in June 1964, after four months of rehearsal - a record for a play that lasts about twenty minutes. Probably because the author's technical requirements were such that the director, Jean-Marie Serreau, devoted the best of his time to it, while the direction of the actors was left to Beckett himself.
