Signed autograph letter, addressed to Marguerite Moreno, (undated, around 1895) 3 pages small in-12, 133 x 102, on brown paper. Beautiful letter from Colette to her longtime friend Marguerite Moreno affectionately nicknamed here. "M'Oreno (we say my love)". She mentions the publication of a work by Catulle Mendès, whom Marguerite Moreno was the mistress of: "Catulle sent me 'seriously' a beautiful Grive des vignes and one to Willy, and I thank him immensely for it.

" La Grives des Vignes was published in 1895. Then, in a playful tone, she reproaches her for being distant: "You proudly passed by me as you left the Exigus plaisirs, you scorn me, you no longer want to look at me in public, that's very gentlemanly of you!

" Colette signs this letter with the curious nickname of Comet. Traces of an old tab in the margin of the letter.
