Signed autograph letter, addressed to Marguerite Moreno, (undated, around 1895) 3 pages small in-12, 133 x 102, on brown paper. Beautiful letter from Colette to her longtime friend Marguerite Moreno affectionately nicknamed here. "M'Oreno (we say my love)". She mentions the publication of a work by Catulle Mendès, whom Marguerite Moreno was the mistress of: "Catulle sent me 'seriously' a beautiful Grive des vignes and one to Willy, and I thank him immensely for it.
" La Grives des Vignes was published in 1895. Then, in a playful tone, she reproaches her for being distant: "You proudly passed by me as you left the Exigus plaisirs, you scorn me, you no longer want to look at me in public, that's very gentlemanly of you!" Colette signs this letter with the curious nickname of Comet. Traces of an old tab in the margin of the letter.
