Albert Alphonse Pierre Dawant, born in Paris on September 20, 1852 where he died on April 18, 1923, is a French painter and illustrator. Charles Lapause, known as Henry Lapauze, born in Montauban on January 31, 1867 and died in Paris on April 9, 1925, is the curator of the Palais des Beaux-arts de la Ville de Paris and an art critic.
