Dinan, 1868 - Castel Fleuri (Finistère), 1925. 1 page in-8° on a double sheet. Header of "Port-Blanc (Côtes du Nord)", (in 1902). Response to the Inquiry of the Hermitage: Who is your poet? Botrel writes that the most truly poetic poet of the 19th century is Lamartine!

He highlights this phrase and signs "Your devoted Breton colleague". He was one of the 125 poets who responded to the question out of 200 surveyed by letter. The magazine l'Ermitage, directed by Edouard Ducoté since 1897, organized this inquiry in response to Rémy de Gourmont, who in the Mercure de France had posed the question: I would like 200 poets of today to be asked who their poet is?

Autographed letter signed T Botrel, dated Angers 26 September 1923. 1 page in-8° on printed paper with the header "Oeuvre de la bonne chanson" and a coat of arms with the motto "Gant ar douë'vit ar vro". Small marginal tear at a fold, otherwise in good condition. He responds to a "comrade" who wishes for a position as an interpreter in the "Boquel tour" in which he is participating.
