Please forgive me for addressing this circular to the parish priests of your diocese. It will inform Your Grace of the energetic resolution I felt compelled to take in order to make my Splendors of Faith accessible to my fellow clergy, and the initial results of the publication of my fifth volume, The Miracle at the Tribunal of Science.



I am at Your Grace's feet, asking for a new blessing for my works, which have been so encouraged by their Holinesses Pius IX and Leo XIII, your humble servant.

François Napoléon Marie Moigno, better known as Abbé Moigno, was a French priest and mathematician, a major popularizer of the 19th century, and an advocate of concordism.

Giovanni Maria Mastai Ferretti, born on May 13, 1792, in Senigallia and died on February 7, 1878, in Rome, was the 255th Pope of the Catholic Church, elected on June 16, 1846, under the name Pius IX. His 31-year pontificate is the longest in the history of the papacy.



Vincenzo Gioacchino Raffaele Luigi Pecci, born on March 2, 1810, in Carpineto Romano and died on July 20, 1903, in Rome, was the 256th Bishop of Rome and thus Pope of the Catholic Church, governing under the name Leo XIII from 1878 to 1903. He is buried in the Basilica of Saint John Lateran, the cathedral of Rome.
